Who we are

Bismutcode is a small German company with big goals. We want to develop a gaming mouse that can be fully customized by our customers in terms of both design and function. Quality is our top priority when it comes to our products.

Our expertise lies in additive manufacturing, which is mainly known as 3D printing. We focus on progress and use the latest technologies, some of which come from our own in-house development.

Bismutcode is a brand that stands for quality. Quality means that our products and their functions will serve our customers for a long time. We achieve this not only through particularly high manufacturing quality, but also through strategies that promote the sustainability of our products, such as “You own what you buy” and “Right to Repair.”

You own what you buy

This should actually be a matter of course. You buy something, so it belongs to you and you can use it as you see fit and even modify it. Since the dawn of the digital age, however, this has been slowly changing. Many new products are based on online services without which they simply cannot function. Companies reserve the right to shut down these online services whenever they want, or if they go bankrupt, no one can take care of that online service anymore. This means that your otherwise practical product is now completely useless. “You own what you buy” refers to products that do not follow such practices, i.e., they can be used by the customer as long as the customer takes care of their product and does not rely on the online service described above. We at Bismutcode support this and apply this practice extensively to our products. We are convinced that it can only be beneficial for everyone if products can serve customers for as long as possible, even if certain services are no longer offered by the company. For you, this means that once you have purchased something from us, you can always use it and you don’t have to worry that one day your product will suddenly stop working without any way to get it working again.

Sustainability

General

At Bismutcode, we understand our responsibility towards the environment when developing and selling new products. The entire process, from product development to final production, generates waste and CO2 emissions that pollute our environment. Our goal is to reduce this environmental impact to an absolute minimum and actively promote sustainable products.

Raw materials

New and sustainable alternatives to traditional raw materials such as petroleum-based plastics are constantly being developed. For example, we rely on a plant fiber-based plastic that has little impact on the environment, both in its production and disposal. We fundamentally support such developments and are constantly on the lookout for new alternatives that we can use in our development and production processes to continuously reduce our environmental impact.

Closed prototype phase

The first, severe stress test for our machines and products to uncover and resolve errors and complications. We want to prepare our company for the next steps and ensure that we meet our own quality standards.

Open prototype phase

(2024)
Your first chance to get one of our gaming mouse. We know that special situations can occur in the field and problems can arise that we cannot foresee. That’s why we want to give a small group of gamers the chance to take part in a test program where you can test our gaming mouse thoroughly. Best of all, you can design your own prototype directly in our 3D editor and help us find bugs in the editor. Of course, there will also be a few small rewards for your help at the end of the open prototype phase.
